Aims and Format

The Bulletin of the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization is published bi-annually by the Kuwait Institute for Medical Specialization of the Ministry of Health, Kuwait.

The Bulletin of KIMS deals with topics of interest in postgraduate education, continuing medical education and clinical practice. It also gives appropriate emphasis to subject matter of special interest to the medical community in Kuwait and the Arabian Gulf region. The journal publishes review articles, discussion papers and debates, commentaries, self-assessment quizzes, reports from conferences and special features pertaining to the above areas. Original research and short reports on research in progress in the fields postgraduate education and continuing medical education would also be accepted for publication.

The Bulletin carries a number of articles that allow the reader to obtain CME/CPD credits accredited by the CME Center of KIMS.

The inaugural issue of the Bulletin was released in April 2002. Clinicians, postgraduate medical teachers, researchers, and medical administrators are invited to be partners in this new academic and scientific undertaking by submitting their work for consideration to be included in the journal.
